NOT the same

This weekend, Alex got a haircut. Not just a trim, but a real, honest to goodness haircut. And its pretty short, so she looks VERY different from her sister. She donated 10" of her hair to Locks of Love. Everyone is giving her lots of attention over this, and I'm not quite sure how she feels about it.

She did tell me that she doesn't really like the cut - that she thinks its too short. But I assured her that it would grow out quickly and she'll be happy with it in no time.

In the mean time, Maryssa did not get a haircut. She had a trim a few weeks ago, but her hair is still really long. I think she was more outwardly nervous about Alex's short hair than anyone was. She tends to worry about her sister, and I could tell she was concerned about her making such a big change.

Its very interesting to watch the girls grow up into young ladies and how they handle things. Remember middle school? Something like a haircut could really make or break your year.

I'm proud of Alex for doing what she did and cutting her hair. I think she'll learn a lot from the experience - even if its that she doesn't want to do it again!
