House With No Kitchen - Day 45

Thank goodness for Spring produce!

We had a nice dinner that consisted of salad and strawberries, among other things. I put together this delicious salad with the addition of some rotisserie chicken and some candied pecans.

I enjoyed it so much that I forgot for a few moments about the chaos that surrounded me in the nowhere-near-completed kitchen we have.

Burgers & Dogs!

Many thanks to Carol for having us over to grill some very yummy burgers and hotdogs. We are also lucky that Alex and Aiden, the newest set of Almasy twins, were on hand to provide entertainment.

Today must be the luckiest day, because I also got to bring my dirty dishes over and wash them in a real sink! Bonus!

House With No Kitchen - Day 29

We've had quite a time these last few days. First it was no kids and eating out, then the kids were back and with them my parents for two nights, then Easter Dinner which, thankfully, was at Carol's house.

Now, I'm in the mood for some comfort food, so I'm back to the hot plate for some pasta. We'll be enjoying some yummy spinach, tomatoes and mozzarella with our spaghetti tonight.

Who can argue with that?

House With No Kitchen - Day 23

Our sink is gone, torn out a few days ago to make ready for drywall installation.

As a result, we have one working sink in the house - the one in our master bedroom.

I washed dishes today in that bathroom sink. And I didn't like it, not one bit.

So as a result, tonight's meal was OUT. And since we don't have any kids this week, it was OUT + NICE which = AWESOME!
