Its been a few weeks, and I'll admit that I let the fact that we have a functional kitchen go by without much fanfare. Honestly, I got some complaints that all I was doing was complaining about not having a kitchen. Well, whatever. You people obviously don't know how important a kitchen is to me.
The truth of the matter is, the kitchen is closer to being finished every day. We're able to cook, but we haven't unpacked any of our stuff. We're able to wash dishes, but we're still using paper plates. Baby steps, I keep telling myself, baby steps.
Beyond the kitchen are other projects that are a big part of our renovation. Lots of painting. New furniture. Renovated bathrooms. Installed carpet. The list goes on. I look forward to posting beautiful pictures as each stage is completed.
In the mean time, you can take comfort in knowing that my hot plate has been retired. Also, anyone want to buy a slightly used microwave?
